The jury found Guzman guilty on all 10 charges in a Brooklyn federal court today.

The jury of seven women and five men coming to their decision after a grueling trial that lasted nearly three months.  The prosecution presenting a pile of evidence they say proved Guzman was the chief of the brutal cartel in charge of trafficking hundreds of thousands of pounds of drugs, money laundering, and conspiring to murder a number of his rivals.

“The recordings in which Mr. Guzman is allegedly talking about large narcotic transactions strikes me as the most damning evidence.”

Guzman will now spend the rest of his life in prison.
