With the primary elections in sight, the Election Board meets tonight.
During tonight’s meeting, the Election Board finalized the primary ballot for 2019. They also finalized the voting locations for all of the 149 voting precincts throughout Erie County with some polling location changes in the City of Corry and one in the City of Erie.
“It’s a rather lengthy ballot. There is many contested races particularly for school board and City Council in the City of Erie so, we just want to make sure that all voters in Erie County pay attention to their election ballot and make sure they see the names of those that they want to most vote for,” said Carl Anderson, chairman of the Erie County Board of Elections.
Meanwhile, Anderson says the committee is continuing to work to find new polling machines for Erie County. The goal is to have a full report to County Council in June with a decision by July and the machines to be implemented for the primaries in 2020.
