The Millcreek Area Girl Scouts and Erie Metropolitan Transit Authority have partnered to make appearances throughout Erie, all in an effort to send American troops Girl Scout cookies.

The Erie Metropolitan Transit Authority are giving the Girl Scouts VIP treatment.  We decided to ‘Tag Along’ with the scouts today to see how they’re celebrating National Girl Scout Weekend in Erie.

The inside of the bus is decked out with eight different types of cookies and they are even accepting credit cards.

Co-Troop Leader Julie Ferraro tells us, “It is a great opportunity that the Girl Scouts give us.  We can offer people the opportunity to donate cookies to troops.  So, right from the bakery, people can come on and donate a box for $5, or a few boxes and they get shipped overseas to the troops so they can enjoy the season too.”

The girls will be making appearances all over Erie today.
