Erie Police searching for a man tonight suspected of assaulting a one-year-old child.  Police searching for 21-year-old Aaron Nixson on charges of aggravated assault, endangering the welfare of a child and others.  

Nixson is accused of assaulting a child that was left in his care by the child’s mother late Tuesday night.  The child’s mother says when she returned home, the child was on the floor of the bedroom, Nixson claiming the child fell out of bed. 

Erie Police were called to UPMC Hamot yesterday morning.  Police say the bruises were inconsistent with a fall.  “They met with the mother and the doctor and determined there were serious injuries to the one-year-old and they were able to identify Aaron Nixson as the suspect”.
