Erie Animal Network offers dog and cat food to furloughed employees, bi-weekly

Local News

Day 33 of the shutdown and local organizations are still stepping up to help furloughed government workers during the shutdown.

The latest group to help; Erie Animal Network, is a non-profit known to many in the area as the go-to social networking group to reunite lost pets with their owners.

Now, they’ve announced they’ll be donating cat and dog food to any local federal worker in need.

Angela Pulling, Event Planner for Erie Animal Network, says, “Right now, with the federal workers not getting their pay; we decided to open it up to them.  So, any federal worker who is interested in getting free pet food for their pet… we have cat food and dog food… They can come down here Saturday morning at 9am and just show their federal I.D.”

Again, if you’re a federal worker in need, you can pick up your free cat or dog food every other Saturday starting this Saturday at the Erie Animal Network, 1831 W 26th St, Erie, PA 16508.
