Donna Douglass has stepped up to lead the Erie Art Museum while the search for a permanent executive director continues.
Susan Keim filled the role for six months, but her contract for interim director came to an end on December 22nd, so the museum now looks to Douglass to lead the charge. Museum representatives tell us that Douglass has served as Director of Arts Education at Arts Council of Erie, and has led multiple non-profit organizations. She has a BS degree in Art Education from Edinboro University and a M.Ed. from Penn State in corporate development and training.
Stephen Porter, EAM Board President, says the museum is in good hands, saying, “…we’re lucky to have Donna as our new interim director. As a former board member and an active participant in our fundraising activities, Donna knows the museum well.”
Porter also says that having Douglass in place allows them to take their time to find the right permanent candidate.
