More than two dozen organizations in five counties are receiving thousands of dollars in grants from the state.
Erie Arts and Culture, as a partner with Pennsylvania’s Council of the Arts, has been awarded more than $43,000 through the PA Partner in the Arts Grant Program. The program provides Project Steam Grants to eligible organizations and artists in five counties.
The Director of Erie Arts and Culture, Michelle Meyer, says the purpose is to reach as many Pennsylvanians through the arts as possible. “It’s really intended for those individual artists who want to work with the community so these grants can fund artists who want to work with centers, non-profits, with arts programs… that is really how those dollars are intended”.
Erie Arts will award the grants to all 26 program representatives in a special presentation tomorrow morning.
