Excessive false alarms have become an issue for Erie Firefighters who are proposing a resolution to Erie City Council that would incorporate fines to businesses.
Erie City Council members adopted the alarm system ordinance on a first reading at tonight’s meeting.
The proposal includes fines up to $300 after the third false alarm for business owners.
The next city council meeting will be on July 7th.
