Erie City Council tables tobacco ban and alcohol restrictions

Local News

Erie City Council members decided to table two ordinances on Wednesday.

One of the ordinances looked to ban tobacco use in city parks and playgrounds and the other looks to restrict alcohol use in Perry Square and Griswold Park.

Council members stated that they would like to know where the designated smoking areas will be located before moving forward.

The City of Erie says they are currently working with the county, Gannon University and Erie Insurance on where those could be located.
