Erie cleans up after powerful storms blow through region

Erie was cleaning up after a destructive storm passed through the region Sunday, knocking down trees and prompting several weather and tornado warnings.

A tree slammed down on a car on West Sixth Street and Virginia Avenue in the city of Erie.

No one was in the car at the time of the incident.

Another tree fell in Frontier Park and storm drains around Erie were clogged with debris.

Flooding was reported throughout the city of Erie and in Crawford County.

The most severe storm damage was reported south of Erie.
