The Erie Community Foundation has bought a house along Millionaire’s Row.
The property located right next to the foundation had caught on fire twice; once in 2017 and again in November of last year.
The foundation is still trying to figure out what to do with the property. Their goal is to remodel the house so that it will no longer be an eyesore in the neighborhood.
Geri Cicchetti, Director of Advancement at the Erie County Historical Society, tells us, “it showcases our past and also takes it into the future. The homes, once they are restored, have a second purpose and so, we’re always glad to see that in the community.”
The total cost to purchase the house was $135,000.
