Erie County Council meets Saturday to discuss EMTA.

Erie County Council Chairman Andre Horton says the council continued to discuss several proposals Saturday morning in hopes of coming up with an agreement with city council before noon Monday.

That’s the deadline PennDot set for an agreement to be in place before they will begin a state takeover.

Horton says County Council is ‘very mindful’ of the deadline and continues to negotiate throughout the weekend with City Council.

City Council President Bob Merski says they have no meeting set up at this time before Monday.

Horton says everyone continues to be on standby as the clock keep ticking.
