Imagine a world where you don’t have to worry about paying for gas or oil changes. Erie County took part in the National Drive Electric Week.
“My prediction is the future is all electric,” said Barbara Potts. Potts is the owner of a Tesla Model X.
“There’s no gasoline to buy, no oil change, no radiators, nothing to buy or do to this car besides windshield wiper fluid or new tires every so often,” said Potts.
Event coordinators say electric vehicles will eliminate green house gas emission that comes from transportation. John Vanco is an advocate for minimizing the use of fossil fuel.
“We can embrace electric vehicles that can be powered by renewable energies like solar and wind power,” said Vanco.
Erie’s event is one of more than 280 across the country and around the world where electric vehicle owners can have these types of displays.
