Members of the Erie Downtown Partnership are asking millennials for help.
The Erie Downtown Partnership along with Young Erie Professionals and an architecture consultant host a special meeting for young professionals tonight. The group wants input from millennials on a creating a welcoming and engaging downtown in hopes of bringing more young people downtown to live and work. The gateway project could be anything from a physical structure like a gateway, flags or something artsy.
“I think it could be something to really differentiate a part of the city of Erie. Something to get people out and about. Maybe taking pictures around it and being included in events around it…really just a place where people can meet and collaborate,”said young professional Matt Gawlik.
Gawlik also says he thinks Erie is moving in the right direction by asking the younger generation.
