A new pharmacy opens on Peach Street this morning. Erie Homes for Children and Adults unveils a new closed-door pharmacy.
The partnership with PDC Pharmacy is fully licensed and serves those with intellectual disabilities and behavioral health needs. This will be the fourth location for PDC Pharmacies; the closest one until now was Pittsburgh.
Organizers say that having this pharmacy here will help to improve the lives of those with disabilities in Erie.
Lewis Minette, Vice President of Corporate Projects for PDC Pharmacy, says, “We’re really excited to be able to bring the services directly to the Erie community and serve them here.”
Minette also saying that the opening will create several local jobs. In fact, three out of four pharmacists are LECOM graduates.
