Erie Insurance Arena preps for Trump rally

Local News

Preparations at Erie Insurance Arena are well underway for Donald Trump’s visit Friday.

The Erie County Convention Center Authority officials said the doors open to the arena at 11 a.m. and Trump is expected to speak around 2 p.m.

Elizabeth D’Aurora, with the Convention Center Authority, said they’re busy working with the Trump campaign to get the arena ready, but they’re still waiting for more information from the campaign.

“We’re working very closely with people from his campaign to plan the logistics of the event,” D’Aurora said. “We’re looking forward to it and having a successful event at the arena.”

D’Aurora said since the event is during normal business hours, the arena’s parking garage will be closed for event parking.

She also said all tickets are being handled through the Trump campaign and you will need a printed ticket to be permitted into the event.
