Erie man gets 3-6 years using toy gun in robbery

A man who robbed an Erie bank is sentenced to State Prison today.  40 year old William O’Brien is sentenced to three to six years in State Prison on robbery and terroristic threat charges.

O’Brien pleaded guilty to robbing the Erie Bank on West 10th Street in February.  Police were able to arrest O’Brien a short time later at East 11th and State Streets.  He then made a full confession to police, saying he had a severe drug problem and a fight with his wife that lead him to going off the deep end.  

O’Brien used a toy gun in the robbery.
