The tasty sounds of Beethoven filled the lunchtime air in the WQLN studios.

A string quartet from the Erie Phil performing Beethoven’s string quartet, ‘Serioso’. The free concert is a warm-up for the season finale tomorrow night at the Warner Theatre.

Steve Weiser says it’s “just a great way to give back to the community. We know we always do the big concerts at the Warner, but finding these special events that we can offer for free to the community; that’s really at the heart of what we like to do”.

Saturday’s finale also features the music of Brahms with help of soloists from the Pittsburgh Symphony.

Longtime Erie Phil Supporter Noel Burgoyne will also be rewarded with a turn as guest conductor.
