Erie police respond to shots fired call on east side

Erie police responded to a shots fired call on Erie’s east side Tuesday morning.

Police were called to East 25th and Perry Streets around noon Tuesday and are searching for two people.

Police recovered eight shell casings, but initially witnesses told police they heard as many as 13 shots.

Nobody was injured, but a City of Erie Public Works truck was hit.

McKinley Elementary School, which is located a few blocks away, was placed on lock down.
