Erie Rise Leadership Academy receives “Little Free Library”

Local News

Students at the Erie Rise Leadership Academy just received a new “Little Free Library.”

This is the seventh library that Edinboro has sponsored. The portable library, as well as the books inside, have all been donated by members of Edinboro. Little Free Library was created specifically for Erie Rise with a space themed. The idea is to help students engage more with books. Students get one book free of charge and can either keep it or exchange it for a new one.

“One thing we are really trying to do is up are parent involvement at the school,” said Erie Rise Leadership Academy Principal, Veronica Wills.”This gives the students the opportunities to take the book home and read it with them, share it with their family. Then bring one from home to share it with other students.”

Kathleen Dailey, of Edinboro, says they have plans for seven more little free libraries this spring.
