For those who made it out of bed early this morning, it was a fresh start to their new year.
The Erie Runner’s club hosted its annual new years day five mile run at Presque Isle this morning.
More than 300 runners laced up their sneakers and gave it a go.
It’s a tradition that began back in the 1970’s.
21-year-old Erie resident Ethan Louis took first place in today’s race.
Westfield, N.Y. native Lane Wolfe says, “You know, I’m gonna tell you, Presque Isle has a beautiful landscape. I love the weather, perfect weather and it’s just a great area to run.”
