This donation coming after the nearly $20,000 raised in the final week of the Red Kettle campaign.
Chairman Rob Celeski said union members couldn’t think of a better cause knowing the struggles of so many families in the community.
Celeski says, “When you go by any of these places in town, any of these non-profits and you see a food truck being unloaded and people getting boxes of food and helping each other so they can eat, it’s really rewarding.”
Erie Salvation Army Commander Major Leslie Walter says, “I’m just grateful to the employees fund of GE for doing this for us and all the guys here behind me, I just can’t tell them how grateful I am.”
