Erie School Board talks recovery plan

Erie School Board met for the second time to discuss the district’s financial recovery plan. 
 
The district is going to ask the state for $28.8 million. 
$22.5 million for to close the structural deficit and $6.8 million for building renovations. 
 
The board will not be consolidating any schools or shutting down any schools for the 2017-2018 school year. 
 
Consolidating or shutting down schools will be a possibility for the 2018-2019 school year.
