Erie will be joining 22 cities across America in the 2030 District.
The 2030 District is an initiative to promote clean and cost-efficient energy and water use in the city while reducing transportation emissions.
Erie’s commitment to the district will create an economic boost to the region, providing a roadmap in building high-performance buildings.
Vice President of Innovation Green Building Alliance Angelica Siranni tells us, “we’re really excited to be here today because Green Building Alliance is the convener of the 2030 district. Also in Pittsburgh and now, we’re taking this out to Erie as well.”
Nine local organizations were recognized, including the city of Erie and Erie County.
