A man accused in an Erie assault is heading to trial.
Today, 32-year-old Matthew Esterbrook waived his right to a preliminary hearing.
Investigators say Esterbrook beat up a McKean County man and stabbed him in the head, neck, and back. The crime occurred in a parking lot near West 26th Street on August 2nd of this year.
Today, the judge waived several charges for trial, including aggravated assault and recklessly endangering another person.
