One man laced up his sneakers to raise awareness for the homeless in Erie.
The Erie United Methodist Alliance, Inc. sent its Executive Director Kurt Crays on a nine-mile journey Sunday.
Crays began his walk across 26th street at 7:45 this morning, starting at 1033 East 26th Street.
The finish line was at the facility that raised the most money to end homelessness — The Asbury United Methodist Church, collecting nearly 1,500 dollars.
Crays said, “Last night through their support, EUMA was temporarily housing 13 homeless families with kids. That included 28 children and seven honorably discharged veterans.”
Crays encouraged people to join EUMA in their walk at Presque Isle State Park on June third.
