Fairview woman pleads guilty to embezzling around $200,000 from former employer

A former employee of a local business faces up to 20 years after pleading guilty to embezzling around $200,000.

According to court documents, Elizabeth McMahan, of Fairview, is charged with embezzling the money from her employer, National Tool Grinding Incorporated.  The crime took place over a four-year period while McMahan was a sales executive at the company.

Yesterday, she withdrew her not guilty plea (entered in 2015) and changed it to guilty; 25 counts of wire fraud.

McMahan’s sentencing is set for 6/14/19 at 1:30pm; she faces up to 20 years in prison, a fine of $250,000, five years of supervised release, and mandatory restitution.
