A Wattsburg area family will receive more than $1.7 million in a settlement ending a wrongful death lawsuit after their 11-year-old son was struck and killed at his bus stop.
11-year-old Noah Wion was killed after he got off the school bus February 9th. The insurance company for the driver of the vehicle will pay the family, as well as the school district.
But, the majority of the settlement will be paid by the insurer of the bus company. That settlement alone is $1.6 million, per the agreement which was filed at the end of November.
