FBI search of Lakeside Auto includes search of owner Andy Gabler’s home

According to communications from the Department of Justice, three Lakeside auto locations were raided, as well as Owner Andy Gabler’s home.

Scott W. Brady, United States Attorney for the Western District of Pennsylvania, issued the following statement today in response to media inquiries:  
 
“On Wednesday, January 30, 2019, Special Agents of the Federal Bureau of Investigation executed court authorized Federal search warrants at 4844 Buffalo Rd., Erie PA; 808 E. Main St., Girard PA; 10215 W. Main St., North East, PA; and 7598 Belle Rd., Harborcreek, PA as part of an ongoing investigation.” 

JET 24/FOX 66 spoke with dealer owner Andy Gabler, who confirmed the raid,  He said his dealership has been experiencing financial difficulties and that he is working his way through it.  Otherwise, he said his auto locations are open for business as usual,  In fact, he said his staff was in the process of taking vehicles to the Erie Auto Show at the Bayfront Convention Center.  Lakeside is represented there.

As to what the FBI is looking for as indicated in the search warrants, Gabler said his attorney is out of town and he declined to comment at this time.
