FEI World Equestrian Games Affected By Storm

Report from the FEI World Equestrian Games 2018....Tryon, North Carolina

Until today, events have not been affected by the approach of Hurricane Florence but the vastly weakened storm is now entering western North Carolina, where the FEI World Equestrian Games are being held. The venue expected 500,000 people for the week long show. We're being told that attendance is far less than expected, as many people canceled with the storm approaching. A number of Erie area equestrians are attending as spectators and are reporting that the weather has been beautiful with occasional showers but the events have been happening without a hitch. However, a number of competitions scheduled for Sunday, have now been pushed back to Monday due expected heavy weather. This event is considered to be the horse & rider equivalent of the Olympics.
