Fire breaks out in Crawford County killing one horse

Around 1 a.m. this morning a fire broke out in Crawford County which reportedly killed a horse.

That fire happened around Shermansville Road.

According to the Summit Fire Chief, the fire is likely to have started from a wood burning stove at the rear of the building.

Crews were able to rescue three horses that were trapped inside. A fourth horse did not make it out.
