Fire seriously damages a home in Millcreek Township tonight.
Crews were called to 518 Oakmont Avenue around 8:45 Friday night.
Reports from the scene indicated fire in the basement and on the home’s first floor.
Firefighters say it started in the basement.
The home owner tried to put it out with an extinguisher and was treated at the scene for minor smoke inhalation.
The West Lake Fire Department was assisted by the West Ridge FD, Lake Shore FD and Millcreek Paramedic Service.
