Hundreds of fishermen made their way to Erie this morning.
It’s the first day of trout season, and anglers got an early start.
At eight this morning fishermen were out on the water, looking for trout.
Anglers told us they had been preparing for trout season all week.
“We came out last night and saw some trout and were like it’s going to be pretty nice tomorrow so we came out,” Matthew Bayhurst said, while fishing with his brother.
“I went out last night and I got my pole ready and I’m ready to go now,” Tanner Bayhurst told us.
Anyone with a fishing license can join on in the fun this trout season. You can pick up a license at most local bait shops and several big-box stores.
