After the massive success of the Food Truck Festival in Lawrence Park, more food trucks are coming to downtown Erie this week.
Saturday will be the actual Food Truck Festival outside of Bourbon Barrell. This week, people will be able to see all of their favorite local food trucks and more gathered around Perry Square. Erie locals and established restaurants react to the food truck culture now in full motion.
Barbara Ringle, Owner of Alkeme, says, “if there were more food trucks on the peninsula and the state allowed… I think that would be a great place, but trying to establish food trucks where there are already quite a few; I think we’re all going to be fighting for the same market.”
Erie Resident Angel Rivera says, “…this is something that people love; something else that people can do downtown, so it’s a great thing to do.”
After the festival on Saturday, data will be collected to determine if it was a success.
