Free workshops to begin 2019 Innovation Erie Design Competition

Local News

A number of groups are coming together to inspire those looking to start their own business.

Inside the Idea Lab of the Blasco Memorial Library, organizers of the 2019 Innovation Erie Design Competition…

The goal of the competition is to bring people with good ideas together to develop them.

A series of free workshops will be held at the idea lab in the coming weeks.

Erin Wincek, Executive Director, Erie Public Library, says, “It makes sense.  All of us are focused on making sure that people from across the community have access to skill-building opportunities.  So, the library is a natural fit for that.  But, so is the Idea Fund, who’s really focused on women, minorities, and veterans.  That helps us spread that word.  CIVITAS, other organizations involved here, all have that same mission-minded kind of focus.”

The competition, supported by a long list of organizations, will officially begin March 4th.
