Recent graduates of Gannon University’s Morosky College of Health Professions and Sciences have continued to distinguish themselves with outstanding performance on standardized tests and certification examinations in their chosen profession.
In the most recent years for which certification bodies have made data available, Gannon graduates had the following pass rates on their respective examinations and tests:
2015 graduates of Gannon’s Villa Maria College of Nursing students achieved a first-time pass rate on the Nursing State Board Exam from National Council Licensure Examination (NCLEX-RN) in excess of 92 percent, the fifth consecutive year this figure was exceeded.
For the same year, all graduates of Gannon’s radiologic sciences program passed the National Board Certification Exam of the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists. This also marked the fifth consecutive year that Gannon graduates had a 100-percent pass rate.
Gannon University’s five-year direct-entry master’s degree program, the only fully accredited program in northwest Pennsylvania, produced graduates who earlier this year recorded a 98 percent ultimate pass rate on the National Certification Exam of the National Commission on the Certification for Physician Assistants (NCCPA) for the fifth consecutive year. Over the last three years, Gannon students have an average annual first-time pass rate in excess of 95 percent.
In data from 2015, Gannon students achieved a 97 percent pass rate on the National Board Certification Exam from the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT).
Gannon graduates in 2016 achieved a 100-percent first-time pass rate on the Board of Certification (BOC) Examination for athletic training. Gannon University’s is one of only three accredited Master of Athletic Training programs in Pennsylvania and the only one located in western Pennsylvania.
For the 2015-16 Academic Year, Gannon students achieved a 96-percent first-time pass rate on the Federation of State Boards of Physical Therapy’s National Physical Therapy Exam (NPTE) and a 100-percent ultimate pass rate. The exam is an essential part of the licensing process to become a licensed physical therapist (PT).
The programs of the Morosky College of Health Professions and Sciences, which represents more than a third of the University’s enrollment, have been a regional leader in the adoption of classroom technology that defines the way that healthcare is delivered. Graduates have assumed leadership positions in healthcare nationwide.
