The state of Pennsylvania is investing $2.3 million into a Meadville company to help sustain jobs in Crawford County.
Governor Tom Wolf announced the approval of 27 rail freight improvement projects that will help create and sustain 225 jobs across Pennsylvania. One of those projects is at Ainsworth Pet Nutrition Plant, which is owned by the JM Smucker Company in Orville, Ohio.
The money will be used to expand rail services, construct a new siding, and purchase loading and unloading equipment.
The governor believes these investments in rail infrastructure will continue to support business development and create new jobs throughout the state.
