Greek Fest begins Friday

Local News

The Greek Festival starts in less than 24 hours, and preparations are underway.

It’s a 28-year tradition for Erie that raises thousands of dollars for the Greek Orthodox Church.

Volunteers have been out since Tuesday, setting up tables and preparing food for the weekend event.

15,000 pieces of baklava are ready to be devoured, along with the gyros.

Organizers say it’s all coming together, and they’re excited for the weekend to come.

Greek Fest starts Friday at 2 p.m. rain or shine at the Greek Orthodox Church on West Lake Road. It runs through Sunday.
