Green steps down as director of Community and Economic Development

ERIE, Pa. — The city of Erie has a new director of Community and Economic Development.

Current director Kim Green has resigned her position after leading the city’s economic development efforts during two stints at City Hall.

Green was also the former director of the Erie Redevelopment Authority.

Christopher Mong will take her place on Sept. 6, according to Mayor Joe Sinnott.

Mong is the former Northwest Pennsylvania Director of Community and Economic Development for the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania under former Gov. Ed Rendell.
