Greer, 1/3 defendants accused of robbing Verizon and crashing into Girard cannon, gets 8-16 months

A man accused of crashing into a historic Erie County landmark learns his fate in court. 

Today, Tanner Greer returned to the Erie County Courthouse for sentencing.  Greer is one of three defendants charged with robbing a Verizon Wireless store in Millcreek and causing a police chase afterward.  The chase ended when the defendants allegedly crashed into a cannon in Girard.

The judge sentenced Greer to 8-16 months in prison followed by three years probation for conspiracy to commit robbery in addition to 1-2 months behind bars for fleeing from officers.  He also received credit for time served.
