An organization that is known for building houses from scratch will be starting summer by rebuilding one, instead.
Habitat for Humanity, the Christian-based group that uses volunteers to build homes for people is kicking off a summer restoration of a Buffalo Road home with a brief prayer service. While the group has renovated a few existing homes in the past, this year’s project is unique due to a three-week timetable in June.
Tom NeCastro says, “We’ll have an accelerated build. We’ll have more shifts than normal, probably more volunteers than normal, just to knock the project out”.
The work will begin on the 2300 block of Buffalo Road on Tuesday, June 5th, and will end Saturday, June 23rd.
