Today, officials at Housing And Neighborhood Development Services (HANDS) are looking to close on a deal on the Boston Store.
Through this process, HANDS is acquiring a cooperation that owns the building and will then become the property manager for the residents that currently live there.
This project could be a $15 million investment, but representatives say they are excited for this so they can help with the future of downtown Erie.
Matthew Good, CEO of HANDS, tells us, "It’s exciting to continue that tradition of taking buildings and having a repurpose to them and being vibrant and offering a quality housing opportunity for people."
Again, they are looking to close this deal at some point today.
