Erie Native, Mark Weber and his team return home to Erie for the Blues and Jazz Festival. The group set up shop this evening for the first day of the festival.
Community members won’t just be looking at art this time around, they’ll actually get a chance to be a part of it.
Anyone can pick up a paint brush to contribute their effort to Weber’s Mural. When it’s done, the painting will be displayed on the Saint Martin Center.
“This is very colorful work I’m doing, says Mark Weber, Artist. It’s a jungle theme actually, a lot of animals and everything and the Martin Center thought it was perfect for what they needed. You know it’s right by their playground. I think it just adds vibrancy to be honest. You’re coming down State Street, there’s going to be a beautiful piece of art.”
This is the first year the festival stretches all three days of the weekend.
