Crews responded to a structure fire in the area of 14000 Shermansville Road just after 1 a.m.

The fire is believed to have begun in the rear of the building, which is a converted horse barn. First responders were able to rescue three horses trapped inside the building. However, a fourth horse died in the blaze.

According to Summit Fire Chief Travis Saulsbery, the fire likely started from a wood burning stove inside the structure.
