The 51 dogs from Venango County are now settling in after their move Monday.
As we first reported Tuesday, the Anna Shelter team has been working with the dogs. Humane Officer Eric Duckett from the shelter says that the legal charges will very depending on the conditions of each dog.
Barbara Lopez was charged previously for a similar incident. This time, charges are likely to be summary offenses, with the possibility of being bumped up to misdemeanor charges.
Duckett says, “the judge can now order that they no longer can be in possession of or control of any animals, but the problem is that there is so many limited resources, especially in these rural areas. “
