Hundreds of people join forces for the 5th annual STEM fair.

In partnership with GE, the fair showcases what jobs are related to STEAM — science, technology, engineering, arts and math. The event taking place tonight at Penn State Behrend’s Junker Center. The STEM fair featured 75 tables with various activities and information to show kids what it’s all about.

“A majority of the tables are Penn State Behrend student groups and activity groups so, they are the students trying to encourage the next generation to think about this. Then, we have a lot of companies in the area and things that you might not realize are related to STEAM, “said Melanie Ford, director of the Youth Education Outreach Office

Ford says the STEM fair is held on monday night to kick off National Engineer’s Week.
