Hundreds Compete in Annual Sand Sculpture Competition

With Discover Presque Isle in full swing, visitors could take part in the annual sand sculpture competition.

Hundreds of people competing against one another using creativity and their muscles to create the best sand sculpture. This year’s competition taking place at Beach 11. Many different creations ranging from a toy story mural to a lion.

Participants tell us for them, its all about spending time with the family.

“We’ve been doing this for a number of years with the family, my brother (is) here, my sister and her family and it’s just something we do every year,”said Bill Adamski, who’s family has been making the sand sculpture competition a tradition. 
The Adamski family created a serpin this year.
