Hundreds of Kids Enjoy “The Little Engine That Could” Performance

Hundreds of kids spending the morning singing, interacting and learning at the Erie Playhouse.

The Playhouse showing a musical adaptation of the popular book “The Little Engine That Could”.  Nearly 900 kids grades pre-k through second watched the show in awe. “The Little Engine That Could” is sponsored by the “Erie Playhouse Play-time Project” in partnership with the United Way’s “Imagination Library”program.     

“The great thing about our partnership with the United Way is that we’re able to provide these opportunities for all of these school kids absolutely free of charge. All the kids will also leave with a copy of “The Little Engine that Could” to take home with them to read at home with their moms and dads,” said Kate Neubertlechner, Executive Director of Erie Playhouse.

The Playhouse is offering public performances of the show tomorrow at 10 a.m., Noon and 2:00 p.m. Open to everyone and completely free of charge.
