They were giving new meaning to stretching a dollar in Summit this evening.
More than a hundred people showed up to downward dog at glow yoga. The florescent event was held as a fundraiser for the Safe Harbor Behavioral Health Center, that’s part of UPMC Hamot. As with many events like this, there was a silent auction, refreshments and event t-shirts, but organizers say the emphasis on yoga gave it a positive vibe.
“People are so excited and I’ve heard people coming with their moms, their daughters, their partners here with them so I loved seeing the connections that people have and I think it just celebrates our community in such a fun way,” said Mandy Fauble, Executive Director of Safe Harbor.
The money raised tonight will go to improving the lobby of Safe Harbor to make it more kid friendly.
