Anxious eaters started to line up around 5:30 a.m. Tuesday morning, waiting for Erie’s newest resturant to open its doors.
IHOP officially opened at 6 a.m. with a ribbon-cutting ceremony shortly after.
Scott Enterprises invested more than $3 million into the development of the restaurant, located at 8040 Peach St.
The new IHOP is expected to create 120 jobs for the local economy.
Nick Scott Jr., vice president of Scott Enterprises, said the company is currently working on a second location.
